Rains will cover most of Ukraine: which regions will be without precipitation today?

Today, April 17, the weather in Ukraine will be shaped by an atmospheric front moving from the northwest, leading to light rains throughout the country.

This information was announced by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.

According to weather forecasters, most regions will be affected by the atmospheric front, which is actively moving from the northwest, leading to minor precipitation.

“We do not expect rain only in the southeastern part, where high pressure will prevail,” the Ukrhydrometeorological Center noted.

After the front passes through the western and northern regions, the wind direction will change from southwest to northwest, which will bring cooler air at a speed of 5-10 m/s.

Despite the clouds and rain, the air temperature will remain relatively stable:

at night from +3 to +8 degrees;
in the afternoon, the temperature will fluctuate between +11 and +16 degrees;
in Transcarpathia and the southeastern regions it will be warmer – up to +14…+19 degrees.
In Kyiv today, cloudy weather with possible clearings is expected. A small amount of precipitation is possible at night and in the morning, but there will be no significant rain during the day. Northwest wind, moderate (5–10 m/s).

At night, the temperature in the capital will be about +6…+8 degrees, during the day it will rise to +14…+16 degrees. In the region, at night it is expected from +3 to +8 degrees, during the day – within +11…+16 degrees.
