Pray only for the weather: a winter forecast was announced for Ukrainians

The next winter can be a big test for Ukrainians, because according to the forecasts of specialists, it will be more difficult than the previous one. Oleksiy Kucherenko, first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, drew attention to this.

Weather conditions will be crucial this season:

“The winter period for Ukrainians may turn out to be much more difficult than the last one. There is hope that the temperature will not drop to -15°…-20°. Although sitting without heating at 0°…-5° is also not very comfortable.”

Last heating season showed weaknesses in the country’s energy infrastructure due to Russian attacks. Many cities witnessed serious heating problems, pipeline disruptions and prolonged power outages. Strict restrictions were in force in all regions.

The situation is complicated by the destruction of large thermal power plants, which adversely affects the stability of the heat and electricity supply system. Experts are concerned about the pace of preparations for the new winter season, believing that the measures taken are insufficient to prevent possible crises.

Authorities and experts also recommend considering alternative housing with independent heating and lighting systems.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has a chance to go through the summer without introducing restrictions on electricity consumption, if there are no new attacks.

It also became known that the enemy has changed its tactics, planning to intensify airstrikes.
