Scandalous People’s Deputy Prykhodko has again started active campaigning in Chernihiv region: what facts are known

According to the latest news, MP Borys Prykhodko, who represents the “Dovira” group, has actively started his election campaign in the 210th district in the Chernihiv region, in particular in Pryluky and neighboring districts.

Prykhodko began his campaign with the opening of the “Alley of Heroes” and the presentation of a personalized bench. His immediate plans include the creation of new playgrounds in Pryluky, Pryluky, Bobrovytskyi and Kozeletsk districts, as well as drilling wells to improve water supply to the population.

In this district, Prykhodko already received a deputy mandate in 2019 as a majoritarian candidate. At that time, his victory was accompanied by a scandal related to the recount of votes and lawsuits. Initially, Serhiy Korovchenko was the first in the district, but later, after court decisions, the mandate passed to Prykhodko.

In addition to election battles, Prykhodko also has a criminal history. In July 2014, he was detained by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine. The investigation established that in February 2014, he, with the participation of other persons, illegally appropriated funds from the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine, which amounted to more than 2 billion hryvnias.

The investigation concerned articles 191 (“Embezzlement or embezzlement of property”) and 209 (“Legalization of proceeds from crime”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. On August 11, 2014, during a briefing, the then Prosecutor General Vitaly Yarema noted that Prykhodko was able to transfer the withdrawn funds to Europe. As of July 2025, the case is pending in court.

In 2025, the Bihus.Info investigation also mentioned Prykhodko’s declaration, which stated that his wife had purchased a 2023 Lexus LX600 at a market value of about $138,000, while the declaration indicated more than $60,000.

In addition, over the course of several years, his sons acquired significant land plots, real estate in the center of Kyiv, and control over development companies, with key partners who turned out to be their father’s political associates.
