Fees of Ukrainian actors: how much do they receive per shooting day

In Ukraine, the issue of earnings in cinema remains little known. However, director and producer Oleksiy Komarovsky decided to clarify the situation by voicing the real rates of actors for one day of filming. He noted that the amount of remuneration is largely determined by the level of popularity of the actor and the specifics of the project.

Komarovsky shared that in the film industry, budget data is usually not disclosed, but this time he named specific figures. This applies only to actors of the main roles and supporting roles, and not to mass scenes or minor episodes.

As the director explained, the amounts of fees can vary. “I will not name any specific films or names. Speaking of the range, it can be from 10 thousand hryvnias to 40 thousand hryvnias per day of filming. We are not talking about episodic actors,” he said in an interview.

At the same time, this is only a part of the total fees in the industry. Some actors receive much more for their performances. “We have such stars, I won’t name them,” the producer added, hinting at the possibility of receiving about two thousand dollars per day of filming.

Earlier, singer Nadya Dorofeeva also revealed the real financial aspects of concert activities. During a performance at the Palace of Sports, she stated that even full halls do not always provide profit, since the costs of organizing a show can exceed the income. According to her, the main goal of such performances is to create unforgettable moments for the audience, and not only financial gain.
