Ukrainians will receive separate assistance for utility services but not through subsidies or benefits
Currently, some Ukrainian citizens can receive benefits or subsidies and municipal financial assistance for paying for utilities. The Department of Social Policy of the Dnipro City Council published this information.
In Dnipro, cash payments from the local budget are made to vulnerable categories of the population to cover the costs of utilities.
Families with the following are entitled to receive such assistance:
- children with disabilities;
- persons with group I disability (with visual impairments, mental disorders, problems with the musculoskeletal system, as well as disabled people since childhood);
- Children with group II disability since childhood.
“The amount of assistance from April 1 to October 31 is 500 hryvnias per month, and from November 1 to March 31 – 700 hryvnias for each disabled person in the family,” the department noted.
Payments cover the following utilities:
- water supply and sewage;
- heating, electricity, and gas;
- elevator maintenance;
- garbage collection;
- apartment building management;
- building and adjacent areas maintenance.
This financial assistance is non-cash and is automatically transferred to the accounts of utility companies.
