Lost their jobs due to the war: Ukrainians were allowed to start over, what steps need to be taken

Have you encountered difficulties at work or been forced to move due to the war? The state offers you the opportunity to participate in the “Army of Restoration” program, which will allow you to earn money and help Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the year, 45 thousand directions have been issued under this program for temporarily unemployed and internally displaced persons. The state has spent 423 million hryvnias on financing the salaries of participants.

What types of work are available?

Program participants will perform various jobs: provide assistance to victims, restore buildings and roads, build defense structures for the Armed Forces, strengthen dams, remove rubble, and work at checkpoints. Each region has its own plan, depending on the situation.

What is the salary?

The salary is 1.5 times the minimum wage, currently equal to about 12 thousand hryvnias monthly for full-time work.

In which regions is the program already operating?

The “Army of Restoration” program is already being implemented in 19 regions of Ukraine, with the most significant number of participants in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kyiv regions.

This initiative helps restore infrastructure and supports people who have lost their jobs due to the war, allowing them to feel needed in their new environment and contribute to the common cause.
