Детектив-мільйонер Романюк та його брат-хабарник потрапили під увагу НАБУ – новини про НАЗК та столичний суд

Millionaire detective Romanyuk and his bribe-taking brother have come to the attention of NABU – news about the NACP and the capital’s court

The NACP did not answer whether a check was conducted on the well-known NABU detective Mykhailo Romanyuk, who was found to have luxury cars and real estate registered to relatives. The Svyatoshynskyi District Court also did not provide specific explanations in the case of his brother, Ihor Romanyuk, whose decision on the bribery case has been delayed for eight years. Thus, both bodies turned out to be on the side of a person with reasonable suspicions.

Journalists draw attention to the fact that the NACP adheres to a formal investigation approach. The agency ignores important reports from journalists about possible violations and tries to cover them by engaging in write-offs.

“Since its creation ten years ago, the NACP has demonstrated typical features of Ukrainian officials. Otherwise, we could see a message about at least the beginning of an inspection in response to publications in the media,” notes Informator.ua.

The head of the Sviatoshynskyi District Court of Kyiv responded to a request to consider the bribe case, reminding that he is only engaged in the general management of the court’s work.

Journalists also reminded us of the information that was subject to inspection by the NACP and what the court requested.

According to the Informator.ua investigation, the head of the NABU unit, Mykhailo Romanyuk, used luxury cars, a Mercedes-Benz E 220 CDI, which belonged to his mother-in-law, and an AUDI A6, registered to his father. An apartment in Irpin, a land plot in Bucha with an area of 1320 m², and an unfinished house were recorded in his mother’s name. Only in the declaration for 2024 did the confiscated apartment with an area of 117.4 m² appear and be recorded in his name, purchased through a state program for defenders.

It is known that one of the most critical cases that Mykhailo Romanyuk conducted after moving to the NABU concerned “Rotterdam+”. The longer the investigation lasted, the wealthier Romanyuk became.

In addition, Informator.ua reports that the Sviatoshynsky District Court of Kyiv has not made a decision in eight years in the case of Mykhailo’s brother, Ihor Romanyuk, who, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office, received a $20,000 bribe from the head of a company.

“The most likely defense for Romanyuk from imprisonment is his brother, Mykhailo, who has been rapidly advancing in the National Bureau all these years. According to our data, until 2016, he worked in the central office of the tax police and was famous for his demands for bribes from entrepreneurs. It seems that these “talents” are also appreciated in his new position, because two different structures are trying to protect him,” the journalists conclude.
