Family business: why the mother-in-law of a Ministry of Sports official dominates tenders

The mother-in-law of a Ministry of Youth and Sports official quickly became a major supplier of equipment for Ukraine’s national team, securing contracts worth 59 million hryvnias.

Antonina Susyk, a retiree from the village of Pidvynogradiv in Zakarpattia, registered her business activity in 2024. Shortly afterward, she began winning tenders to supply sportswear for the state institution “Ukrsportzabezpechennia,” according to the Telegram channel “Vykryvach.”

However, the prices of the products supplied by Susyk’s company raised many questions: the government paid 56,000 hryvnias for a single tracksuit, and gloves cost 5,500 each. In a short time, her income grew to nearly 6 million hryvnias.

It is worth noting that Antonina Susyk formally works for a waste management organization. Her “successful start in business” encouraged other inexperienced entrepreneurs to begin winning tenders as well, revealing links to Serhiy Sedniev.

As a result, a network of entrepreneurs was formed, which collectively received over 59 million hryvnias from the state. All the contracts involved supplying goods for Ukrainian sports teams, indicating the family nature of this business surrounding the Ministry of Youth and Sports official.

It should be recalled that the State Audit Service conducted an audit of the Ministry of Defense’s contracts with the company “Nash Import,” which is linked to the Mitrokhin family. The results of this review have been forwarded to the Prosecutor General’s Office for a criminal investigation.
