Oschadbank leads to debt obligations of Ukrainians: it is important to control accounts
The State Savings Bank increases credit limits on card accounts without clients’ consent, which can lead to serious negative consequences. According to a review on the Minfin platform, one of the Ukrainians was a victim of such a practice.
He noted that the banking institution arbitrarily increased his credit limit without examining his financial condition. Although the situation may seem insignificant, it led to serious problems. The client reported that Sberbank lifted the restrictions on withdrawals, allowing fraudsters to steal credit funds from his account.
Describing relations with Sberbank, the client claims that the financial institution violated the terms of the contract and emphasizes that now they have demanded the return of the lost amount from him, despite the fact that he is not to blame for this situation.
As a result, the man found himself in a debt hole, claiming that the bank had independently removed the limit, giving criminals access to his funds. Recently, theft of funds from Ukrainian bank accounts has become increasingly common.
This incident highlights the need for banks to monitor their customers’ financial transactions more closely to avoid fraud.
