Court hearing in the case of Mayor Netishyn: Suprunyuk’s lawyers ask to close the case
Today, the Netishyn City Court of Khmelnytskyi Oblast held a hearing in the case of Netishyn Mayor Oleksandr Suprunyuk, who is accused of official negligence in the procurement process for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, involving a significant amount.
Oleksandr Suprunyuk appeared in person at the hearing, while his lawyers participated via video link.
According to a correspondent at the scene, the defense filed a motion to terminate the criminal proceedings. Afterward, the judge expressed his willingness to listen to the prosecutor’s opinion and withdrew to the deliberation room to make a decision.
It was noted that the next hearing of the case is scheduled for June 12, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
After the hearing, Suprunyuk left the court by the circumstances, surrounded by the support of his comrades, who tightly surrounded him to avoid questions from journalists. The mayor refused to comment.
