Pensioners asked Vodafone for a preferential tariff: will they reduce high prices?
Ukrainian pensioners, who survive on a limited budget, have appealed to the mobile operator Vodafone with a request to introduce a preferential tariff. The relevant information appeared on the company’s official Facebook page.
One of the pensioners drew attention to the need to create a special tariff plan for older people who only require phone calls but not mobile Internet services.
The woman noted that her husband receives a pension of 3,000 hryvnias, of which approximately 10% is spent on communication alone – 235 hryvnias, excluding the cost of the Internet.
“I have long wanted to write to you about the problem of communication payments by pensioners. Is it possible to establish some privileges? My husband only uses calls, but the prices are too high for a person with a pension of 3,000 hryvnias,” the woman shared.
Vodafone representatives responded to the subscriber’s request, noting that they do not currently plan to launch a tariff for pensioners. They advised to follow promotional offers, as this is the only way to save on communication.
“We do not have a separate tariff for pensioners, but we always try to offer profitable promotions,” the company reported.
It was previously noted that Lifecell subscribers complain about unauthorized withdrawals, and Kyivstar users demand the return of the unlimited Internet promotion, which was recently terminated. There have also been complaints about Vodafone promotional offers, which, according to subscribers, lead to greater overspending.
