Українцям роз'яснили, як зменшити витрати на електроенергію, звертаючи увагу на лічильник

Ukrainians were told how to reduce electricity costs by paying attention to the meter

In Ukraine, a fixed tariff for electricity is in place, set at 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. It applies to residents of apartment buildings and private houses, dormitories, as well as summer cottages and garage cooperatives. At the same time, the introduction of multi-phase meters can significantly reduce electricity costs.

Currently, the country has a single tariff, but the use of two-zone and three-zone meters opens up opportunities for savings. For example, when using a two-phase meter, the cost of electricity is 4.32 UAH/kWh from 07:00 to 23:00 and decreases to 2.16 UAH/kWh from 23:00 to 07:00.

Using a three-zone meter allows you to vary the tariffs even further: during peak hours, from 08:00 to 11:00 and from 20:00 to 22:00, an increased tariff of UAH 6.48/kWh is applied. In contrast, from 23:00 to 07:00, the tariff is reduced to UAH 1.73/kWh at night. During the remaining hours, the base tariff of UAH 4.32 per kWh is applied. Thus, at night, the cost can be reduced by 50% or more, depending on the selected tariff.

To reduce costs, you should install a multi-zone meter that records electricity consumption separately at day and night tariffs. To do this, you need to contact the energy supply company and apply for a connection. For example, at DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks, the cost of such a service is about UAH 4,000.

You can also purchase a meter yourself, but in this case, you will need to undergo an “incoming inspection” procedure, which involves placing a seal on the device to confirm its readiness for use. This procedure is performed in specialized laboratories of energy companies.
