A spy who provided information for missile strikes to the command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detained

A 59-year-old woman who collaborated with the Russian FSB was detained in the Khmelnytskyi region. She is suspected of passing information about Ukrainian military facilities to the enemy and organizing the production of homemade explosives for terrorist attacks.

It is known that the woman did not have a permanent place of work and, according to law enforcement agencies, was recruited through the Telegram platform. After being recruited, she began collecting information about the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the region, with a focus on command posts and administrative buildings.

To avoid attracting attention, she filmed military facilities while pretending to talk on the phone. On the instructions of her FSB supervisor, the woman also purchased parts for the production of explosive devices. However, she failed to implement her plans promptly.

SBU officers detained her while trying to collect intelligence near a military unit. During the search, a phone containing evidence of contact with the enemy, as well as materials for creating explosives, was seized from her.

The woman was charged with treason under martial law (Article 111, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose a preventive measure – detention without bail. If her guilt is proven, the woman may face life imprisonment with the confiscation of her property.

SBU officers carried out this operation in the Khmelnytskyi region under the control of the regional prosecutor’s office.

Meanwhile, in Zaporizhia, the SBU detained another agent of Russian special services. According to the investigation, the 42-year-old resident acted as an adjuster of enemy air attacks.
