Long power outages: Ukrainians told when to expect improvement in the situation
Ukraine’s energy system remains stable even during the busiest hours, thanks to the coordinated work of specialists. This was reported by Olena Shapoval, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, in an interview with the agency.
She noted that power outages are possible only in cases of massive attacks on energy infrastructure. In other situations, the system operates without failures, including peak loads.
“The efforts of energy workers allow us to maintain balance even during the highest consumption. It all depends on the shelling,” Shapoval emphasized.
She added that all repairs are carried out according to the approved schedule, and at the moment, there are no plans for unscheduled outages.
Earlier, Oleg Popenko, the head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities, noted that partial power outages are possible in specific sectors, particularly in industry and offices, during the summer. At the same time, residential buildings will be the last to be turned off. He also clarified that this will not result in widespread blackouts.
Recall that earlier, mobile communication tariffs in Ukraine were planned to be increased to European levels.
As reported, Ukrainians expressed concern over a controversial bill related to “digital” debts.
Also, information sources mentioned the possibility of gas discounts in the summer.
