Зміцнення контролю за пенсіонерами: банки регулярно звітуватимуть до ПФУ

Strengthening control over pensioners: banks will regularly report to the PFU

New mechanisms for controlling pension payments are being introduced in Ukraine. This was reported by Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers, via his telegram channel.

According to the new requirements, banks are required to continuously provide the Pension Fund of Ukraine with information about the physical identification of pensioners. These changes are enshrined in the updated procedure for paying pensions and social assistance through banks.

Data will be transmitted using a qualified electronic signature via secure communication channels. The information exchange process will occur no more than once a day and only in cases where identification is successful.

All details of data exchange will be agreed upon in a special protocol signed between each bank and the Pension Fund.

This measure is part of the government’s overall efforts to strengthen control over public social payments, ensuring that only genuine individuals receive pensions.

Starting in 2025, physical identification of pensioners will be conducted annually. This process will also apply to internally displaced persons, as well as those who have left abroad or live in temporarily occupied territories.

We would like to remind you that details regarding the registration of pension payments for Ukrainians living abroad, as well as innovations related to the accrual of additional pensionable services, are also in the spotlight of recent news.
