Brad Pitt at the wheel of a McLaren: the actor continues his passion for motorsport

Brad Pitt, a famous Hollywood actor, is not leaving the world of Formula 1 even after the filming of his new film, which premiered on Monday in New York.

According to GPblog, the 61-year-old actor got a unique opportunity to test a real Formula 1 car – the McLaren MCL60, which was used in the 2023 season. In this car, pilots Lando Norris and Oscar Piastre won seven and two podiums, respectively.

The test runs took place at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, USA. On Tuesday, the track was tested by young McLaren pilot Alex Dunn; on Wednesday, it was tested by Lando Norris; and on Thursday, Brad Pitt himself got behind the wheel.

Although the actors were not allowed to drive Formula One cars during filming, Pitt and his co-star Damson Idris drove over 6,000 miles in specially modified Formula Two cars.

A second trailer for the film “F1” was also released, starring Pitt and Javier Bardem.
