Хто втратить броню: у Раді планують зміни для силовиків

Who will lose their armor: the Rada plans changes for security forces

The Verkhovna Rada has registered draft law No. 13429, which aims to update approaches to the preservation of police officers, prosecutors, and the judicial system. This document was submitted to the parliament on June 26, 2025, during the 13th session of the 9th convocation.

The authors of the draft law include MPs Iryna Gerashchenko, Oleg Synyutka, Iryna Friz, Artur Gerasimov, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, and others. They believe that the current system of reservation of employees in individual state structures is too extensive. Changing the rules will reduce the number of people who receive reservations in law enforcement agencies, which is a crucial step in enhancing Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

The Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence was selected as the lead committee to consider this draft law. Six more parliamentary committees will also participate in its finalization.

It should also be noted that martial law continues in Ukraine due to Russian aggression, and the mobilization of men to the Armed Forces remains in force. Previously, the government provided information about possible postponements for specific categories of individuals who may join the military as of July 1, 2025.
