Russia’s night attack on Zaporizhia: what are the consequences?

On the night of June 27, Zaporizhia was the site of an attack by Russian drones, which resulted in fires and damage to non-residential buildings.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, reported at least six strikes by drones on the regional center.

According to his information, the buildings of an industrial enterprise and the territory of a garage cooperative were attacked. It is known that several fires resulted from these actions, but no casualties were reported.

Fedorov also published photographs showing the consequences of the attack in a garage cooperative.

Regular attacks on Zaporizhia by Russian troops are not the first time recorded. Thus, on the night of June 25, explosions were also heard in the city, the warning of which was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As for other regions:

Kharkiv. At night, the city became the object of an attack by seven kamikaze drones of the “Shahed” type. Hits were recorded at enterprises, as well as in private and apartment buildings. One of the strikes occurred near a hospital in Nemyshlyanskyi district, and at least three people received medical assistance.

Sumy region. The attack killed three people, including a child, and injured six others, including three children. About 30 houses were damaged as a result of the strike by suicide drones.

Nikopol district (Dnipropetrovsk region). There were several attacks by FPV drones and heavy artillery, as a result of which four people were injured – two women (34 and 40 years old) and two men (36 and 44 years old). An administrative building, a store, several apartment buildings, and private homes sustained damage.

Zaporizhia region. Air strikes were carried out in Novoselyovka and Malaya Tokmachka. Information about the damage is currently being clarified.

In addition, on June 23, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the Odessa region, resulting in significant damage to a local educational institution and people trapped under the rubble.
