New mobilization in August: which Ukrainians have priority for the CCC

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has decided to extend general mobilization, which will last until November 5, 2025. This means that the rules for conscription into military service remain unchanged.

In August, mobilization processes will take place in the usual mode; military commissariats have already begun to establish the categories of persons who are most likely to be subject to mobilization.

Candidates for receiving summonses are, in particular, military conscripts with combat experience and appropriate military training. In particular, priority will be given to stormtroopers, artillerymen, drone operators, and sappers, whose knowledge is essential for the needs of the Armed Forces.

Additionally, specialists from civilian professions who are necessary to ensure logistics and technical functions, such as drivers, IT specialists, signallers, mechanics, and engineers, are being actively mobilized. Service in the army covers not only the front, but also various tasks in the field of logistics, communications, and maintenance.

Here is who is subject to mobilization:

– men aged 18 to 60 who have already completed military service or participated in hostilities;

– persons who were previously recognized as limitedly fit, but underwent a repeated medical examination after the abolition of this status;

– men without military experience aged 25 to 60 who are fit due to health;

– those who have lost the right to deferment, provided that there are no grounds for exemption from conscription.

Persons under 25 years of age in the status of conscripts can enter military service only at their request.

Recall that men were given 10 days to avoid the status of evading service. There is also information that Ukrainians can receive digital summonses via SMS, which legal consultants warn about.
