Zelenskyy held a meeting with the heads of law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies after the situation surrounding NABU and SAPO

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the heads of law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies in connection with the protests against draft law No. 12414. He announced the creation of a “joint plan”.

According to information from Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel, the meeting was attended by:

– Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Malyuk;

– Head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Semen Kryvonos;

– Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) Oleksandr Klymenko;

– Head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) Viktor Pavlushchyk;

– Head of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) Oleksiy Sukhachev;

– Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Ihor Klymenko;

– Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

The President emphasized the importance of the meeting, calling it frank and helpful. He noted that joint work of law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies is necessary to protect Ukraine from Russian aggression. Zelenskyy emphasized that criminal cases should not drag on for years without legal verdicts, and those who act against Ukrainian interests should not feel safe.

“We hear the voice of society and understand people’s expectations from the state regarding justice and efficiency. We discussed the importance of administrative and legislative measures that will strengthen the work of all departments and resolve existing contradictions,” he said.

The President also announced another meeting to be held next week, at which a joint action plan to strengthen the protection of the interests of Ukrainian society will be presented.

Among the latest developments, it is worth noting that on July 21, the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office conducted searches at the NABU and SAPO due to suspicions of financial abuse. Meanwhile, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 12414, which has drawn criticism due to threats to the independence of anti-corruption structures.
