From 100 UAH for some and 1000 UAH for others: consumers are being forced to pay extra for gas

In 2025, Ukrainians will receive a new bill for gas network maintenance. Some owners have already received payment notices, with amounts ranging from 100 to 1,000 hryvnias.

As representatives of the Kyiv branch of the Gazmerezhi company explained, this fee is mandatory only for those apartment buildings where technical maintenance of gas systems has already been carried out.

The additional payment applies to work on checking and diagnosing gas communications, which include inspection, testing, and detection of malfunctions in pipelines. Such assessments should be carried out once every 3-5 years, depending on the condition of the networks.

The cost of the service is calculated individually for each house and depends on:

the number of apartments in the house;
the configuration and length of gas networks;
The technical condition of communications.
The more residents in the house, the lower the maintenance costs, and the lower the payment amount. The minimum price will be approximately 100 hryvnias, while in old buildings with a small number of apartments, the bill may exceed 1000 hryvnias.

It was previously reported that, to clarify the information in the payments of “Gazmerezh”, consumers are asked to submit a specific package of documents. It was also emphasized that the risk of losing money for those who pay through banks or terminals.

In addition, questions were raised about the legal grounds for ignoring payments for gas delivery.
