Ukraine is preparing for negotiations with Russia: it has become known who will represent the country

Today, July 23, essential negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation will take place. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree approving the composition of the Ukrainian delegation.

The delegation was headed by Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

The negotiating team included:

Olexander Bevz — Advisor to the Head of the President’s Office;

Oleksandr Dyakov — Deputy Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces;

Serhiy Kyslytsia — First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs;

Yuriy Kovbasa — Representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights;

Heorhiy Kuzmychov — Protocol Officer of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
Oleg Luhovsky — First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service;
Yevheniy Ostryanskyy — Deputy Chief of the General Staff;
Oleksandr Poklad — Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine;
Vadym Skibitsky — Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate;
Andriy Fomin – Head of the International Law Department;
Oleksiy Shevchenko – Deputy Chief of the General Staff;
Oleksandr Sherikhov – Officer of the Main Directorate of the General Staff;
Yevhen Shynkarev – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force Command.
The negotiations should become an essential stage in the dialogue between the countries.

President Zelensky also noted that the implementation of the agreements reached at previous meetings continues, and the Ukrainian team is currently actively working on new contracts on the exchange of prisoners.
