Growing number of volunteers: recruiters note a real boom in mobilized people

Recently, the recruiting center of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade has recorded a significant increase in applications from those wishing to join the brigade. It is especially pleasing that among the new candidates, a substantial portion consists of women who are ready to defend the country on an equal footing with men.

Rostyslav Yaschyshyn, senior lieutenant and head of the brigade’s communications department, reported on this trend. According to him, the number of applications has increased tenfold in just two weeks, with approximately 20% of them coming from women.

This information confirms that the brigade actively demonstrates women serving in combat positions, which likely influenced the decision of many Ukrainian women to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“We were surprised by such a sharp increase in activity. Indeed, it is difficult to say what this is connected with, but a woman now fills out every second application form out of ten – and this is extremely inspiring,” the officer noted.

The senior lieutenant emphasized that the brigade opens its doors to motivated individuals regardless of gender, since everyone can contribute to a common victory. Women perform tasks from working at the headquarters to participating in combat operations.

He considers the growth in the number of volunteers a positive sign, indicating the readiness of Ukrainians to take action, and women are increasingly assuming responsibility for the country’s defense. He noted that the only culprit in the war is Russia, which is destroying Ukrainian cities and causing suffering to the civilian population.
