”You won’t be able to appease Putin”: Western Information Front publishes Johnson’s speech in London
On September 8-10, the “Ukraine Freedom Summit 2025” was held in London, at which Boris Johnson delivered a speech. He emphasized that the only way to peace in Europe is a victory for Ukraine.
During his speech, Johnson noted that despite the brutal attacks on civilians in Kyiv, the Ukrainians will not surrender. He recalled that in three and a half years of full-scale war, Russia was able to capture less than 20% of Ukraine’s territory, and this cost it more than a million lives.
Johnson also drew attention to the difficulties faced by the Russian army, particularly in Pokrovsk, which had suffered numerous defeats. He noted that the Russian economy is experiencing severe difficulties, with inflation and unemployment growing, and Ukrainian attacks on the oil and gas sector resulting in a significant reduction in fuel production.
According to Johnson, stopping Russia’s aggression requires not only military power, but also the economic and political strength of a united West. He stressed the importance of clarifying long-term strategic intentions towards Ukraine, calling for a coalition of partners ready to support the country.
Stressing the importance of the heroism of the Ukrainians, Johnson declared the need to provide Ukraine with more weapons and ammunition. He also called for the elimination of the “shadow fleet” that helps finance the war.
In conclusion, Johnson called on Western countries to join forces in supporting Ukraine, emphasizing that this is critically important not only for Ukraine but also for European security as a whole.
