Ex-participant of “mushrooms” is interested in Moscow, lives in Europe and avoids wars

The former participant of the mushroom band expressed his sympathy for Russian artists and assured that he was not interested in politics. At a time when thousands of Ukrainians die on the front, Kyivstoner speaks of a comfortable life in Bratislava and friends in Moscow.

The well-known Ukrainian rapper Kyivstoner, who emerged from the Mushroom Band, has again fallen into the center of attention due to his provocative statements. After leaving Ukraine during a full-scale invasion, he recently gave an interview in which he made several shocking statements.

The performer mentioned that he felt nostalgic on trips to Moscow, referring to the city as “Topov.” He noted that he would like to meet with friends living there.

“I miss not by Russia, but for Moscow. This city has its own vibe. I have many friends with whom I would like to talk. Moscow is a very cool place, it is a fact,” he said.

Despite questions about Russian aggression, Kyivstoner did not express a clear position. He assures that he does not follow politics and tries to avoid news about the war, saying that he lives in Bratislava, but supports friends from Ukraine.

“I do not want to engage in politics and war. It is important for me that people stop dying. I cannot live, constantly thinking about it. If I can help my friends, then I do it financially and morally. And here in Bratislava,” the artist explained.

Although he argues that he is “not interested in politics”, the rapper shows a critical attitude towards the Ukrainian authorities. In addition, he expresses his respect for Russian artists, such as Maxim Galkin and Vasya Basta, whom he refers to as “brothers.”

“These are erudite people you are proud to know,” Kyivstoner added.

Given the context of war, such words cause indignation. Thousands of Ukrainians lose their lives through the actions of the Russian army, and public figures who avoid clear positions and justify the aggressors are criticized by society.

Not so long ago, the scandalous blogger Alexander Voloshin, who was accused of stealing funds in 2024, also drew attention to his loud statements about escaping abroad through alleged persecution by law enforcement agencies.
