Oleg Starikov told how Ukrainian drones overcome Russian air defense: “In small air, no one knows how to fight”

In his latest video, expert Oleg Starikov expressed his opinion on why the Russian army cannot defeat the Ukrainian military. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are among the three most powerful land armies in the world, along with the Russian and American armies. However, Americans have a much greater technological advantage.

Starikov emphasizes that a paradox is unfolding in Ukraine: old technologies, initially developed in the 1950s and 1960s, are showing promising results on the battlefield. Ukrainian drones can cover thousands of kilometers and strike targets located deep in Russia’s rear, while modern air defense systems cannot protect them from them.

The expert recalled the case of the German pilot Matias Rust, who in 1987 flew a plane to Red Square, bypassing the Soviet air defense system, which was as sophisticated as modern drones. In his opinion, Russia has not yet solved this problem, although NATO’s air defense components can also face similar challenges.

“Why don’t drones beat? The fact is that Russia has completely switched to the latest S-300, C-400, and C-500 systems, which are capable of working at high altitudes, but cannot effectively counteract small aircraft, ”Starikov said.
