The city of Svyatogorsk, situated on the front line and in the rear, suffers from the aggression of Russian troops. However, despite all the difficulties, the city managed to organize its life. On his birthday, the head of the Svyatogorsk Military Administration shared the realities that the city faces today.

Volodymyr Rybalkin, who previously held the position of Chief of the Svyatogorsk Military Administration, was an activist and, during the occupation, headed the local administration. He has experience in territorial defense and is actively engaged in volunteering, participating in events aimed at restoring decimated territories.

Vladimir noted that the most critical challenge for the city is the evacuation of civilians. Increasing the number of shelling and closing of trading facilities complicates the situation, so the safety of the population becomes a priority. In addition to evacuation, the administration focuses on supporting critical infrastructure and providing the population with essential services, including electricity, medical assistance, and other necessary resources.

Concerning shelters, Vladimir reported that there are high-speed shelters in the city, located in areas where people receive humanitarian aid. Work is also being done to improve conditions in underground storage.

An important aspect is the perception of the situation by residents. With access to information through the Internet and mobile communications, residents of Svyatogorsk have the opportunity to receive up-to-date news, which reduces information chaos. However, persuading people to leave dangerous zones temporarily remains a challenging task.

Vladimir also noted that improving the conditions in the regions where people are evacuated can encourage them before leaving. Many residents are apprehensive about a new place due to rumors about poor living conditions.

Changing climatic conditions will also affect evacuation. Winter, with its potential challenges to heat supply, will be a significant test for people.

At the same time, new warfare methods, such as the use of FPV-punks, complicate the situation and make the work of the administration even more dangerous, because in addition to the victims, the territorial infrastructure is being destroyed.
