In addition to subsidies and benefits: Ukrainians will receive new winter payments

From October 1, Ukrainian families who already receive subsidies and benefits will receive a new type of assistance from the state. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk, in his Telegram channel.

He noted that the government has decided to introduce special “heating” assistance for residents of communities located in the zone of military operations or under threat of their resumption. This step is aimed at providing additional support during the winter period, as winter during war presents a special challenge for the population.

The assistance will be automatically accrued along with the already assigned subsidies and benefits, so recipients will not need to contact social services. The Pension Fund of Ukraine will provide payments.

The amount of assistance will be calculated based on 100 kW/h of electricity for each family member, but no more than 300 kW/h per household.

In addition, the conditions under which accruals may be suspended have been determined. The assistance will cease to be paid in the event of a change of residence, loss of the right to subsidies or benefits, destruction of housing, or a change in the status of the territory.

Mykola Lukashuk emphasized that even in difficult war conditions, the state finds ways to support people living in front-line areas. This assistance should be significant to survive the winter and endure the most difficult times.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainians do not receive the subsidies they were assigned for various reasons. There was also information about the possible consequences of a purchase, after which the right to a subsidy can be lost, as well as about guaranteed tariffs that will not increase during the 2025-2026 heating season.
