An official of the Holosiivska RDA is suspected of embezzling 1 million UAH

Investigators have established that during the overhaul of the ski-roller track in the Holosiivskyi district, the volume of work performed was overstated, which led to significant financial losses for the capital’s budget.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

Juvenile prosecutors of the Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv have announced suspicion against the head of the construction department of the Holosiivskyi District State Administration. He is accused of official forgery and misappropriation of budget funds during the repair of the ski-roller track in the comprehensive children’s and youth sports school.

According to the investigation, the official contributed to the victory of the controlled enterprise in the tender for the performance of repair work. After the project was completed, the contractor entered unreliable data on the volume of work performed in the acts of performed work. The head of the department, in turn, signed these documents without proper verification, which allowed the company to receive full payment, despite the fact that part of the work was not performed.

As a result of the official’s activities, the Kyiv budget suffered losses of over 1 million hryvnias.

As of today, a pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers are checking the possible involvement of other officials of the Holosiivska RDA in possible abuses during the repair of the sports facility.

Investigative actions are being conducted under the procedural guidance of the Holosiivska District Prosecutor’s Office together with investigators of the Holosiivska Police Department.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until his guilt is proven in court and established by a guilty verdict.

According to the National Police, the coordinator remotely organized the activities of underground laboratories via encrypted messengers, giving clear instructions on the manufacture, packaging and sale of narcotic drugs.
