New subjects will be introduced in schools and kindergartens: what knowledge will children receive and by what age

Humane lessons are an innovative approach to raising children.

Interactive classes devoted to developing empathy, kindness, and awareness of the importance of mental health have begun in Ukrainian schools and kindergartens.

These classes are held monthly for children ages 5 to 10, to help them better understand themselves, respect others, and accept differences. Teachers are also supported, as each lesson includes ready-made materials, from videos to discussion tasks for families.

The main characters of these classes are the funny Carrot and the cat Pascal, who, through their adventures, teach children the meaning of friendship, mistakes, personal boundaries, and daily care. The plots are easily recognizable because they reflect real situations children face—quarrels with friends, fears, or moments of joy. It helps schoolchildren to freely express their feelings, saving them from feelings of shame.

The program is divided into two age groups: preschoolers (ages 5-6) and younger students (ages 7-10). Each group is provided with its own set of materials: notes, interactive exercises, printed tasks, and videos from the “Morkvusy Cinema Hall”. After registration, teachers can access the materials in Google Classroom, where they will find all the necessary explanations and recommendations for conducting lessons.
