More than 11,000 hryvnias will be provided to families with children: PFU announced a new financial aid

Guardians and custodians of children can receive monthly state assistance, which can reach UAH 11,186. This is information provided by the Pension Fund of Ukraine, which is responsible for making payments in accordance with the law.

Payments are provided in accordance with the Law “On state assistance to families with children” and Resolution No. 1751 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 27, 2001. State aid supports children up to 14 years of age in care, and care applies to adolescents aged 14 to 18 years. It is important to note that only those who are officially recognized as guardians or custodians can receive these payments.

Amounts of assistance in 2025

In the current year, the amount of financial support depends on the age category of the child and the presence of a disability:

UAH 6,407.50 – for children under 6 years old;
UAH 7,990 – for children from 6 to 18 years old;
UAH 8,970.50 – for children with disabilities up to 6 years old;
UAH 11,186 – for children with disabilities from 6 to 18 years old.

If the child already receives any other types of social assistance, such as pensions or alimony, the amount of the state payment will be reduced by these incomes.

Terms of receipt and terms

Financial assistance is provided for 12 months from the date the application and all necessary documents are submitted. If the child remains under guardianship or care, the term can be extended. Payments continue until the child reaches 18 years of age, and for children with disabilities, according to the terms determined by a medical opinion.

There are several ways to apply for assistance:

in person at the territorial branch of the Pension Fund;
through the Administrative Services Center (CSC);
online on the official website of the Pension Fund or through the Social Web Portal of the Ministry of Social Policy.

Thus, families with children can take advantage of the opportunity to receive the financial support they need from the state.
