Tariffs will increase by 14%: who will pay more for heating
New tariffs for heat supply have been introduced in Mykolaiv for specific categories of consumers. The city council confirmed this information.
According to the new decisions, the tariff changes apply to the companies OKP “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” and PrJSC “Mykolaivska TETS”, which submitted updated cost calculations for their services.
The head of the department of prices and pricing policy of the consumer market development department of the Mykolaiv city council, Olena Bolychevska, noted that heat supply companies are obliged to recalculate economically justified tariffs in accordance with current legislation annually.
She also emphasized that this year, tariffs increased by 11-14% depending on the consumer category. The reasons for this increase were higher prices for energy carriers, repair materials, and general enterprise expenses.
At the same time, for the population, the tariffs will remain at the previous level due to the moratorium, which will continue until the end of martial law and for an additional 6 months thereafter. Therefore, only legal entities, budget institutions, and other consumers will suffer financial changes, while households will continue to pay for heating at the rates set in 2022.
It was previously reported that heating payments could double. In addition, there is information about the possible seizure of property and the blocking of accounts for debtors owing utility bills.
