Коли вас багато - це вагомі кошти": українська співачка посварилася з таксистом через російську музику

“When there are many of you, it’s a lot of money”: Ukrainian singer quarreled with taxi driver over Russian music

Singer Daniela Zayushkina, who is the lead singer of the Ukrainian band Vivienne Mort, found herself at the center of a conflict with a taxi driver over the music he had turned on during the trip. The incident caused a wide resonance when footage was published on social networks. According to Daniela, the driver started playing a song by the Russian pop group “Hands Up!”, which she found unacceptable given the ongoing war.

The singer asked the taxi driver where he got the music, emphasizing that listening to Russian artists on paid services such as YouTube and Spotify finances their activities. She noted that for every view, listeners support Russian artists who pay taxes, which, in turn, can contribute to funding of military actions against Ukraine.

Daniela emphasized: “Your views can become important for their profit, and this in turn can lead to danger for Ukrainians.” She argues that one must be aware that even small amounts can have serious consequences.

To the driver’s remark that it was a small matter, the singer replied that each contribution plays its role, similar to the collection in support of the army.

Earlier, the media also reported on other cases related to Ukrainian stars and the military conflict, in particular, the scandal surrounding statements by one of the participants in the “League of Laughter”.
