ПФУ закликав пенсіонерів добре обдумати рішення про вихід на пенсію

PFU urged pensioners to carefully consider their retirement decisions

Citizens of Ukraine who have reached retirement age but continue to work and do not immediately apply for a pension can receive significantly higher payments. The Pension Fund provided this information.

According to Part 1 of Article 29 of Law No. 1058, persons who are entitled to a pension but decide to apply for it later can count on an increased amount. If, after reaching age 60, a person continues to work and later applies for a pension, the amount of payments increases in accordance with the insurance experience on the day of application.

The longer a person postpones retirement, the higher the percentage of the allowance that is accrued to them:

by 0.5% for each whole month of work, if the postponement lasts up to 60 months;

by 0.75% per month if the delay exceeds 60 months.

At the same time, the Pension Fund emphasizes that the increase is not accrued for an incomplete month of insurance experience. This system benefits both the state and individuals. The state receives additional revenue from citizens’ continued work, and citizens, in turn, have the opportunity to receive a higher pension.

It was previously reported that pensioners may risk losing their payments if they do not meet certain conditions by December 31. Clarifications were also provided as to whether seniority may be lost if the workbook is not digitized. In addition, issues were considered regarding the legality of refusing to hire due to age.
