Керівник КМВА Ткаченко висловив незадоволення проєктом бюджету Києва, в якому відсутнє фінансування оборони

Head of the KMVA Tkachenko expressed dissatisfaction with the draft budget of Kyiv, which lacks defense funding

The Kyiv City Council intends to review the capital’s budget on November 6. Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, noted that there are no items in the proposed expenditures related to defense or support for the Ukrainian armed forces. He described this situation as an alarming signal and called on deputies to reconsider their position on financing the city’s security.

Tkachenko noted that the planned budget adjustment will exceed 5 billion hryvnias. Still, the planned expenditures do not include funding for assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, air defense units, or protection against enemy drones. He emphasized that these aspects should be a priority during wartime.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration has already prepared an official appeal to all parliamentary factions of the Kyiv City Council, demanding an urgent review of expenditures to increase funding for security measures. Among Tkachenko’s proposals are strengthening the drone interception system, supporting volunteer formations of the territorial community that perform air defense tasks, and offering rewards for participants in these operations.

In addition, Tkachenko called on Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko not to hide information about defense spending from the public and the military, emphasizing the city’s real needs that cannot be ignored. He called for openness and responsibility in matters of security for Kyiv residents.
