The Rada explained what awaits Ukrainian men: there will be no talk of mobilization
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security currently lacks detailed information on the initiative to introduce new contracts with fixed terms of service. However, MPs believe that it will not be possible to abandon mobilization completely. MP Solomiya Bobrovska reported this in a short interview.
The MP noted that the military, which has been at the front for a long time, has many questions about the future. In particular, who will be covered by the new contracts? She expressed hope for clarification from the Ministry of Defense, since it is currently unknown why this initiative was announced without precise details.
Bobrovska also emphasized that the Committee has not yet received any official document related to these proposals, and the issue has not yet been officially discussed. However, MPs have already communicated about this at the level of assumptions.
According to public statements, specific changes to the military’s payment system are planned, though there is currently no complete picture. In her opinion, the issue of insufficient financial resources will arise, as will the importance of streamlining the terms of service to establish clear rules for those who defend the country.
The Ministry of Defense intends to introduce new contractual conditions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, according to Bobrovska, means voluntary service. However, officials did not provide any clarifications regarding mobilization. The deputy assured that the system of forced conscription will remain in place.
“We will definitely not abandon mobilization, because it is an integral part of martial law,” Bobrovska concluded.
