Новий тариф – питання часу: експерт попередив про можливе подорожчання електроенергії

New tariff is a matter of time: expert warns of possible increase in electricity prices

Soon, Ukrainians may face another increase in electricity prices. This was stated by Oleh Popenko, head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities, in his Facebook post.

The National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKP) has approved a project that increases the tariff for electricity transmission to UAH 786.74 per megawatt-hour.

According to Oleh Popenko, such a decision is only the first step in the official procedure, but its approval already indicates the inevitability of a price increase.

This increase in tariffs will affect all consumers, from large enterprises to ordinary families.

“With the increase in the tariff for the transmission of energy, the final price will automatically increase. This can significantly affect the financial situation of households and local communities,” he emphasized.

It is worth noting that in the coming months, household consumers will not see an increase in electricity costs. The government approved the validity of the current tariff until April 30, 2026, so Ukrainians will continue to pay UAH 4.32 per kWh until May 1.
