US President’s Special Representative Appreciates Budanov’s Contribution to the Liberation of Ukrainians

On his social media page, the American official thanked Kirill Budanov for his active participation in coordinating a vital agreement, emphasizing that this is another positive step toward achieving common goals.

On November 22, information appeared about the return to Ukraine of citizens who were sentenced in Belarus to terms of 2 to 11 years, including loved ones and terminally ill people, including cancer patients. The youngest of them is only 18. The operation was personally led by Kirill Budanov, who monitored the situation directly at the border.

As a reminder, in September 2025, US President Donald Trump appointed the famous lawyer John Cole as special representative for Belarus, noting his significant contribution to the release of 100 hostages held by the Lukashenko regime. Trump also said that Cole is one of the country’s most prominent lawyers. In 2020, during the election, John Cole represented Donald Trump’s interests and later became his personal advisor and close associate.
