An illegal online casino scheme was discovered in the Odesa region: two brothers organized a poker application without a license

In the Odesa region, law enforcement officers liquidated an illegal online casino that operated through a specially developed mobile application. Its organizers were two brothers aged 25 and 26.

The investigation established that these youths created a mobile application to play online poker, as reported by the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police.

To enter the game, users topped up their accounts and could play virtual poker games.

To attract more players, the organizers actively promoted the application.

The law enforcement officers emphasized that these persons did not receive any license for running a gambling business.

As part of the criminal proceedings, several searches were conducted. The law enforcement officers seized mobile devices, draft records, several decks of cards, poker chips, and a BMW, which, according to the investigation, was used in their illegal activities.

Investigative actions are ongoing, and the issue of notifying the brothers about the suspicion and choosing preventive measures is still being resolved.
