Millions of cash “under the mattress”: judge Andriy Boyko has more money at home than in his bank accounts
Andriy Boyko, the judge of the Fifth Appeal Administrative Court, declared the large sums of cash stored in his house.
According to his declaration, Andrii Boyko personally has 83.97 thousand dollars and 79.71 thousand euros, which, in total, exceed 6.8 million hryvnias at the current exchange rate. Additionally, his wife, Alina Boyko, who is engaged in entrepreneurial activities, declared cash totaling 19.37 thousand dollars and 10.42 thousand euros. At the same time, the assets in the spouses’ bank accounts are insignificant – from several hundred to several tens of thousands of hryvnias.
In 2024, Andrii Boyko’s annual income was 2.75 million hryvnias, and his wife earned 1.88 million hryvnias from the business. They own several apartments and houses in Odesa and Lymanka.
In particular, an apartment with an area of 126.3 m² in Odesa is designed for a relative Violeta Borysivna Boyko, which was purchased in 2014 for 1.03 million hryvnias. The judge and his wife use this accommodation free of charge. They also own a plot of land measuring 274 m² in one of the Odesa summer cottage cooperatives and a summer house measuring 78.2 m², which is jointly owned by the judge, his two daughters, and another woman, whose shares account for approximately one-third. This property was purchased in December 2020 – the plot cost 410 thousand hryvnias, and the house – 1.4 million hryvnias.
Both daughters of the family are registered and live in a house measuring 114.6 m² in the village of Lymanka, which is designed for a possible relative of the couple, Oleksandr Chernyavskyi. The family also owns a separate apartment in Odesa with an area of 56 m², purchased in 2021 for 660 thousand hryvnias.
The car fleet of the spouses includes:
1. Toyota Tundra 5.7 pickup truck (2012) — owned by the judge, bought in 2019 for 512.5 thousand hryvnias.
2. Lexus NX300h (2020) — wife’s, purchased in December 2021 for 671 thousand hryvnias.
3. Mercedes-Benz Viano (2007) — used by the judge since 2012.
4. UAZ 31514 (1998) — at the disposal of the judge since 2003.
5. Toyota Corolla (2001) — registered to the judge’s mother, Andriy Boyko has been using the car for free since 2024.
