Pensioners’ payments will be reviewed twice: when should you expect new amounts?
In 2026, Ukrainian pensioners will face essential changes, including an increase in pension payments.
According to the specialized publication “Na pensii”, the adjustment will take place in two stages and will affect the majority of pension recipients.
The first stage – from January 1, 2026
From the beginning of next year, pensions will increase due to an increase in the subsistence minimum for unemployed citizens. The State Budget for 2026, approved on December 3, provides for an increase in this indicator from UAH 2,361 to UAH 2,595. As a result, the minimum pension will increase by UAH 234.
The second stage – from March 1, 2026
An additional adjustment will take place on March 1. This will be an annual indexation based on inflation and changes in the country’s average salary. Preliminary estimates indicate that the indexation coefficient will be at least 11-11.5%. The government will make a final decision in February 2026.
Age allowances in 2026
There will also be an increase in payments for pensioners who reach a certain age:
70 years old – additional payment up to 300 UAH;
75 years old – up to 456 UAH;
80 years old – up to 570 UAH.
These allowances will be accrued to persons whose total pension does not exceed 10,340.35 UAH.
