Prosecutor of Cherkasy region drives a Toyota worth 1.8 million and receives income from Tesla shares, without having his own home
The Deputy Head of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Stanislav Toropchyn, purchased a Toyota Highlander for 1.8 million hryvnias in 2024. In addition, his annual declaration indicates that he received more than 500 thousand hryvnias in profit from the sale of Tesla shares.
The prosecutor’s family, consisting of him, his wife Iryna, and two sons, Georgy and Lev, does not have a permanent home. Instead, a house with an area of 136.6 square meters and two land plots in Kyiv with areas of 234 and 242 square meters are registered in the name of her friend, Svitlana Frantsivna Bankova. However, the family uses this property.
The prosecutor’s spouses have their own apartment in Sofiivska Borshchagovka with an area of 37.9 square meters, purchased in 2016 for 197 thousand hryvnias. Stanislav Toropchyn rents a 56.4-square-meter apartment in Cherkasy.
Last year, he also bought a 2021 Toyota Highlander for 1.8 million hryvnias. In addition, their family uses a 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 CDI, which belongs to the same Svitlana Bankova. In 2024, the prosecutor declared income of 548 thousand hryvnias from the sale of Tesla Inc. shares, as well as several thousand hryvnias in dividends from Verizon and Macerich Co.
Stanislav Toropchyn’s annual salary was 1.48 million hryvnias. His wife, who works in the Prosecutor General’s Office, received 1.38 million hryvnias. The family keeps 3,000 euros and 40,000 hryvnias in cash. The prosecutor’s bank accounts have about 173 thousand hryvnias and 21 thousand euros left, while his wife has about 51 thousand hryvnias.
