A collaborator engaged in Russian propaganda was detained in Druzhkivka

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, detained a woman in Druzhkivka who held a leadership position in the occupation “employment center of the DPR”.

The detained woman was a 54-year-old resident of Donetsk. During the occupation of the city, she voluntarily cooperated with the aggressors. At the end of active hostilities, Russian forces appointed her to the position of head of the fake “media sector” of the said institution.

Her duties included creating texts for speeches by local collaborators and Russian representatives, preparing propaganda materials for media outlets under the invaders’ control, and organizing public events in support of the Russian authorities.

In addition, she regularly appeared on local TV channels, calling on residents of the temporarily occupied territories to join the fake structures of Russia.

The detention took place in Druzhkivka, where the woman had arrived from the occupied territories to visit her family. After her arrest, SBU investigators charged her with conspiracy under Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The woman is currently being held in custody. She faces up to 12 years in prison, with property confiscation.

The operation was conducted by SBU officers in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, together with the National Police, under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Earlier, the Ukrainian exceptional service carried out a preventive operation, during which it neutralized another sabotage attempt by Russia, organized with the participation of a recruited resident who agreed to cooperate with the occupiers for quick money.
