Hans Zimmer described the exclusion of “Best Music” from the telecast of the “Golden Globe” as ignorant

The famous composer Hans Zimmer expressed his displeasure with the organizers of the “Golden Globe” awards, noting that the award for best film score was not included in the telecast. In a comment for Deadline, he called such a decision “a little ignorant.”

Zimmer noted that the film industry is composed of professionals who understand the filmmaking process well. He emphasized that, while working on the project, the composer often notes his long absence from home due to the film: “When I return home, my children do not recognize me, because I have not been home for months.” According to the composer, his role in the film’s creation is significant, as his team must help the director return to the film’s main idea.

Commenting on the decision to exclude the nomination from the broadcast, Zimmer noted, “I would not communicate with this person. I think our potential friendship is canceled.”

This year, the award for “Best Music for a Film” went to Swedish composer Ludwig Jöransson for his soundtrack to the horror film “Sinners”. His previous works include music for the films Evidence, Oppenheimer, Black Panther, and Venom. However, television viewers could not see his award because a commercial was airing at that moment.
