Oleg Vynnyk survived two strokes: testimony of a friend
Musician and military man Roman Nedzelsky discussed the situation with singer Oleg Vynnyk, revealing details about Vynnyk’s health, life in Germany, and his intention to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During a conversation with journalist Natalia Vlashchenko, Roman noted that Vynnyk actively helped the Ukrainian military from the first days of the war, in particular, by providing them with support from abroad. However, he also faced significant criticism, which, according to Nedzelsky, negatively affected his health.
“Since the beginning of the war, he has been among those who have been very supportive of us. I visited him in Germany twice, delivering cars. Oleg is very worried about the wave of hate that has fallen on him. He has suffered two strokes. I remember coming to him when he was supposed to write an appeal, and his face was distorted. He did not want to be seen like that, but in six months, he managed to recover,” said Nedzelsky.
Roman also noted that Oleg was seriously considering joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the “Cultural Landing” initiative under the Ministry of Defense, which many famous musicians have already joined.
“I told him: ‘I’ll take you, we’ll mobilize you.’ He reacted positively: ‘It will be interesting, I’m ready to put on a uniform.’ But when I turned to the higher officers, I received an answer that, because of the negativity surrounding him, it would be inconvenient. It’s better to take anyone, but not him,” the soldier commented.
Nedzelsky emphasized that such a reaction is more related to the information background than to Oleg himself. At the same time, he emphasized that Vynnyk did much to support the army while remaining out of the public eye.
The latest news also noted that Oleg Vynnyk is fighting cancer. The singer himself has not yet commented on this topic.
