Parents will be fined and put on record for alcohol consumption by minors

In Dnipro, the situation with minors who drink alcohol causes a reaction from several services, which immediately get involved.

When the fact of alcohol consumption by a child is detected, specialists in children’s affairs, social workers, and the police are involved in the case. Such cases are considered as alarm signals that require preventive measures, individual work with children and their parents, as well as an explanation of the possible consequences of addiction. This was reported by the Department of Children’s Affairs of the Amur-Nizhnyodniprovsky District Administration.

Joint commission visits with representatives of the police and social services help in discussing the risks associated with alcohol consumption, as well as the social consequences for children and the responsibility of parents for their behavior. It is important to note that such cases are under constant control and are analyzed monthly by the district’s interdisciplinary team.

In some cases, it may be necessary to register a child due to difficult life circumstances that require individual social support. Experts emphasize the responsibility of parents or legal representatives in such situations. If the fact of alcohol consumption by a child is confirmed, parents may be held administratively liable in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.

It also became known that control over the use of energy drinks among adolescents is becoming even stricter, as parents may face fines for certain actions of their children that violate the law.
