''Труби лопаються, а стіни в бурульках'': будинок на Берестейському уже два тижні без опалення

“‘Pipes are bursting, and the walls are covered in icicles'”: a house on Beresteyske has been without heating for two weeks

Iryna Tsilyk, a famous director, reported on the catastrophic situation in her apartment building on Beresteyskyi Avenue. It has been without heating for two weeks, leading to a drop in apartment temperatures and flooding due to constant leaks. Among the residents are many pensioners and people with disabilities who need urgent help.

In her post, Iryna mentioned daily attempts to resolve the heating problem, which have not been successful. The pipes in the building often burst; one of the apartments has cooled to +7°C, and the facade is covered with icicles.

Residents have contacted municipal services and emergency crews, but their requests remain unanswered, worsening the situation. According to Iryna, some families are unable to leave their homes, and the situation is extremely critical.

She appealed to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko for help and advice on how to proceed in this difficult situation, as not everyone has the opportunity to temporarily relocate.

In her article for NV, the director emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable groups in the population during crises, including the elderly, pregnant women, and young children.

Iryna emphasizes that in winter conditions, the young and healthy can survive the cold, but the question remains: will those who need help the most survive until spring?
