Germany has provided Kyiv with gas stoves, cylinders, and heaters for the elderly, which will be distributed this weekend

Kyiv has received important humanitarian aid from German philanthropists to support elderly residents who depend on electricity. The aid is planned to be distributed in the coming days.

The humanitarian aid received from Germany includes gas stoves, gas cylinders, and heating pads for older people, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced.

The equipment will be distributed over the coming weekends through territorial social service centers, particularly for single older adults who use electric stoves. This primarily applies to residential buildings with heating and electricity issues.

The Kyiv Mayor expressed his gratitude to the Life Bridge Ukraine charity organization and German philanthropists for their support. He noted that all the necessary items were purchased thanks to funds collected in Germany in just a week.

The total amount collected was 140 thousand euros. The Association made the first contribution of 30,000 euros from Berlin Entrepreneurs, and numerous private donors from Berlin and other German cities also joined the campaign.

Vitaliy Klitschko also recalled that Life Bridge Ukraine, with the support of the Berlin City Hall, has already helped to create the “Human Titans” prosthetic center in Kyiv. This institution, located at the city hospital, assists both military and civilian patients who have been injured.

To equip the center and manufacture prostheses, equipment from a leading German manufacturer was purchased for 14.5 million hryvnias.
