The acting mayor of Irpin, Angela Makeeva, addressed emotional burnout in her Facebook post. She noted that it is difficult to see how enemies and even loved ones take advantage of the situation, and called for not being guided by other people’s rules, but for remaining true to yourself.

The post turned out to be very emotional and therapeutic. Still, some users quickly drew attention to a detail: a Cartier bracelet was seen on the official’s hand, costing approximately 9,750 euros. This contrast sparked heated debate: while the Ukrainian military is defending the country in harsh winter conditions, a local government representative reflects on his experiences, illustrating them with luxurious jewelry.

Users’ opinions on this combination of emotions and luxury items were divided. The emotionality of a person’s statements in a responsible position is further emphasized by the context in which they live, especially those on the other side of the front.

Makeeva also asked her supporters to add a caption to her post, but in this case, it turned out unnecessary.
