Gastritis can occur without symptoms: important aspects of this disease
Gastritis is one of the most common diseases. According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the number of people with this diagnosis has increased significantly in recent years.
Food “in dried fruit” is not the cause of gastritis.
Inflammation of the stomach lining is caused by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, not by a poor diet. This bacterium can be picked up through kissing, sharing dishes, toothbrushes, and other household items.
Soups do not protect against gastritis.
There is a common belief that first courses help prevent gastrointestinal tract diseases. Still, statistics refute this: gastritis is often diagnosed in the British, Japanese, and Germans, who traditionally consume less soup.
Asymptomatic course of gastritis
This disease can occur without clear symptoms and is only detected during gastroscopy.
Medicines are not causes of gastritis.
Aspirin and other pain-relieving or antipyretic drugs can irritate the stomach lining and cause symptoms similar to gastritis, but true gastritis does not develop in such cases.
Stress can aggravate gastritis, but it does not cause it.
Scientific studies do not confirm that stress can cause gastritis. However, anxiety and stress can increase the level of stomach acidity, which, in turn, can increase discomfort during an exacerbation of the disease.
